B.L.E.M.G. CEO goes through crisis!!! 2017 2nd Quarter Report.

With the beginning of the 4th Quarter, all bets are off.  This may be the most profound sounding update I've ever put together.  Don't ask me why, but, I need some people, some colleagues to understand, I'M STILL HERE!!!

Just recently, I realized just how blessed I am.  To be surviving prostate cancer, fighting paralysis and getting my health in the best condition it's been in decades.  Yet, I have managed to put together the most talented underground roster of any company in the continental United States, and yes, I will put my own reputation on that.  But even with that,......I have been hit and hit hard.

The 4th Quarter of 2016 did not start well.  October was the beginning of a very emotionally trying time; starting strong and quite happy getting ready for the upcoming holidays.  Spending more and more time with my girls and grandchildren was a dream come true.  Being nominated to the Honoring Committee for City Summit & Gala was a very big and humbling experience.  Who is City Gala?

The City Summit and Gala is a 3 day, weekend long event  packed with powerful keynote speakers - starting with the Summit's business conference focused on growth, leadership, innovation and philanthropic projects. This weekend long experience endeavors to provide support, networking, acceleration focused on programs to support the efforts of startup, charitable organizations that align with our vision. Their call to action is to raise funds and awareness for the upstart, philanthropic entrepreneurs.

The bottom fell out with the hospitalization of my daughter.  Not being able to be there because of my physical challenges was one of the hardest things I had to go through; yet, I did not know, it was just the beginning.  One week before Thanksgiving, my daughter passed away; complications from Stage 4 Lung Cancer.  She was 30 years old.

That slowed me down.  The 2nd of my children to pass away in their prime.  My son passed away 5 years ago January 1, 2017.  In February 2017, I was offered a volunteer position on the Advisory Council for the Prostate Cancer Foundation; which I humbly accepted.

Along with that, I began my crowdfunding effort through MANY VS. CANCER.  I have also created a team to help raise the necessary funds to fund the cure for Prostate Cancer.  Seemed things were picking up,.....but then the end of the 1st Quarter came.

On March 1, my dear mother passed away and it has been extremely difficult to regain my focus.  So,....I expanded my executive offices and created new positions.  The Board of Directors of Wayne Management Company, however, was concerned, and voted to name a Co-CEO to assist me in the full operations of the company.  That Co-CEO was the President of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group, Synthia "Blak Cheri" Robinson.

The death of my mother caused a 30 day delay in the release of the company's 4th mixtape, CONCRETE JUNGLE.  However, on May 1,....we was able to release CONCRETE JUNGLE on DatPiff.  It was a great 2 week debut for the mixtape, which drew over 800 views, streams and downloads.  At the beginning of June 2017, it was nominated for Mixtape of the Month through Poze Productions, which would be cause for an automatic submission to their upcoming X-Poz-Ing Music Awards ceremony in Chicago, IL on August 12, 2017 for Mixtape/Album of the Year.  It would be the 2nd time that Black Lion Entertainment Music Group to achieve that, if that were to happen; which would make me very happy.

Although there is a major shakeup going on within the company, I feel very confident on our upcoming Gospel release, tentatively scheduled for a December 2017 release.  It is my intention to show the various genres of giving praise and honor to God; not to mention, this is my PERSONAL thank you to God for saving my life.

B.L.E.M.G. Has Begun to Make Its Move - 2016 3rd Quarter Report

Wayne A. Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group (B.L.E.M.G.) has FINALLY released his 3rd Quarter Report for 2016 for the fast growing independent record label; but, it almost didn't happen..

HOME,....AGAIN

Although 2015 was definitely a highlight banner year for the young, small independent label from East New York, Brooklyn (total of 25 Music Award Nominations, winning a total of 13 for the year in only its 2nd year of operation), even B.L.E.M.G. was a victim of financial and unforeseen circumstances.  With the business headquarters for B.L.E.M.G. and Wayne Management Company building being sold to a new owner, the new owners moved very quickly to remove all tenants from the location.

After a long, drawn out legal battle, Wayne Jones was forced to remove himself and the companies from East New York.  After 5 months of temporarily operating in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, the new home for the companies was found, however, it was not new to Wayne.  He took the businesses back to where it all began for him; the place where his own music career began; the place where his own business career began.  Exactly 6 blocks from where he grew up in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.  "I give the credit for this location to my step daughter, Reneasha Robinson.  If it wasn't for her, this wouldn't have been possible.", said the CEO.  "I'm now back at home.  Now, I can go back and concentrate on making things happen."; which is exactly what he did.

CHANGING THE GAME,.....AGAIN

During the first half of 2016, B.L.E.M.G. was hit hard with the sudden departures of Giovanni, Blak Pearl and Blaze Billionz.  It got even more difficult with the in house division between artists and executives.  Not to mention the fallout after the delay of one of the artists' debut CD, it caused Wayne a great deal of discouragement; but not one to stay down, he began to make changes.  He re-negotiated a consulting agreement with Blaze, which allowed him to continue to promote the artist and consult him on his new venture, thus, remaining a part of the Lion's Den of Talent.

He then began to once again, restructure the executive team:

New Chief Operating Officer

After launching and marketing the company's newest venture, Black Lion Entertainment and Sports Network, with Sportswire host Vinnie Vitti, Wayne started to make changes by first, coming back to take control of the label, after President Synthia "Blak Cheri" Robinson live performances alongside her producer, George Brown of George Brown Entertainment Music Group began to become in demand.  Wayne appointed Gilbert Barnett, Jr, III, p/k/a Farrogoummo Madeoff from Executive Director of Urban content to Chief Operating Officer and Head of the Hip Hop Division of B.L.E.M.G.  "I want to be clear, that Cassandra Jones was a great C.O.O., but like myself, is an entrepreneur in her own right with her brand Simply Ladies with Class Creations.  This is not a demotion for her, she is now my Special Advisor."

Wayne has also stated that Farrogoummo will be the Executive Producer of the company's 3rd Mixtape, CONCRETE JUNGLE, which is looking to be released to the public in the 1st quarter of 2017.  He still will be releasing his 5th mixtape AMERIKA ON DRUGZ during the 4th Quarter of 2016.  Farrogoummo will also be performing live at The West End on October 14.  His first performance in 9 months.

New Director of New Talent

After her run at The Voice, Sweet Tee has proven to have the skills and experience to attract new talent and assist Synthia Robinson in the development of the R&B division.  "We're finally beginning to attract those from the Soul and R&B genres.  I wanted to have a team together that will be able to develop that division to what I envisioned and to go above and beyond the standards already achieved because of the artists of B.L.E.M.G.  It was easy to put them together not only because they work well together, but their friendship of over 30+ years is unbreakable."

New Divisions launched

Wayne has also expanded the B.L.E.M.G. brand by launching BLEMG Modeling.  This new division will be headed by Traci Rivers, who is an accomplished model in her own right.  Wayne has already signed their first client.  His Granddaughter, Aaliyah Overby, who was just chosen to walk in the Brooklyn Fashion Week and has now began to prepare for the 2017 Miss Teen Universe Pageant.

Wayne has also, FINALLY, launched his much anticipated Gospel/Inspiration Division.  "This division is going to be one of three crown jewels for this company.  It is my promise to God, after he saved me from certain death."  Wayne has tapped Mr. Robert Terry p/k/a POET - Just Robert as the new Director and A&R for this division.

FINALLY!!!

After a number of delays and a few obstacles, not to mention a few publishing issues, B.L.E.M.G. finally was able to release its debut studio release with their artist, Julia with her debut release, BABY YOU GOT IT.

Originally scheduled to be released on Valentine's Day 2016, the R&B songstress decided to release her debut work on Wayne Jones' 51st birthday.  Through the direction of President, Synthia Robinson, Julia is in heavy rotation in France and Russia FM Radio Stations.  She remains a constant fixture on 2 Loco Radio in Memphis, TN and has begun to catch the attention of various college and internet radio stations in the United States.

NEW ALLIANCES

Continuing to solidify their already strong and stable support system, Wayne was able to secure a "Label Partnership" with OAG Management, LLC's owner Scott Brigger.

They've been laughed at, ridiculed, stepped on and talked about.  However, the management team of both B.L.E.M.G. as well as its owner, Wayne Management Company, has come through it with some scars, but still going strong and still building.  "This is my dream.  I asked God for a business, and now He's given me 2.  I thank God for the opportunity and with His guidance and help, just wait and see what's in store for Black Lion Entertainment Music Group", says CEO, Wayne Jones.

He's Lost His Mind - B.L.E.M.G. 2016 1st Quarter Report

OK,....we are all well aware of the great and surprising year that Black Lion Entertainment Music Group had in 2015 garnering a total of 10 music awards in the areas of hip hop, R&B, House and Spoken Word.  Even beginning 2016 nominated in 12 categoriees at the SCM Awards, scheduled for May 14, 2016 in Memphis, TN was a great accomplishment, considering the CEO's current situation, but some are beginning to question his next few moves.

DEPARTURES

To begin the year, new sensation Giovanni decided to transfer his talents to another company, which was a shocking and painful blow to Black Lion Entertainment Music Group.  "I didn't even see that coming" said Wayne Jones, Chief Executive Officer; "that one blindsided me and the way I found out was very upsetting.  But what can you do.  It just goes to show that you can't please everyone and everyone may not see you as being what they want."

Also recently departing was long time Wayne Management Company client and B.L.E.M.G. artist Blak Pearl.  "I'm very happy with her elevation and am glad she was able to connect with someone that can take her to her next level.  She recently performed at Milk River, located in the downtown section of Brooklyn, NY and reviews said that her performance was one of the best of the evening.  I wish her nothing but success." said the CEO.  Keep in mind, she is still up for Female Rap Artist of the Year with the SCM Awards.

"I really and truly wish them the absolute best in their endeavors.  They are truly talented artists that the world needs to hear."

JULIA

Originally scheduled to release her debut CD "BABY YOU GOT IT" on the Black Lion Entertainment Music Group Label, there was a last minute administrative difficulty that prevented the release of the CD.  Although disappointed, it has not deterred the company nor the artist.

She has officially scheduled her debut CD to be released on Thursday, August 4, 2016.  Wayne Jones has also scheduled and booked her to perform May 22, 2016 at Arlene's Grocery on the Lower East Side of New York City.  Click the image below if you would like to purchase tickets.

THE PRESIDENT TAKES CHARGE

The success of B.L.E.M.G. has even sparked a fire under the President of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group, Synthia, "Blak Cheri", Robinson.

"I swear for God,, every time I turn around, she is amazing me more and more.  She redesigned her whole image where she is corporate and appealing at the same time.", Said Wayne Jones.  She redesigned her live performance and brought back her original producer, George Brown of Third Word Entertainment and George Brown Music Group.  She also added the services of DJ Karpentar to her live performance which brought rave reviews at her performance at Arlene's Grocery in March 2016.  She was recently given a small birthday party at the Headquarters of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group.

By clicking the image above, you can purchase tickets to her next live performance which will be in the Elmhurst section of Queens in New York City on April 28, 2016 at Blackthorn 51.  Showtime begins at 7pmest.

EXPANSION

This is where it begins to surprise everyone,.....including Wayne.

"At the beginning of the year, I was looking for various ways to increase the brand of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group."  Wayne Jones felt that B.L.E.M.G. was still under the shadow of its corporate entity, Wayne Management Company as a sub-division.

After finishing out his sponsoring term with Twizm Whyte Piece and Fat Cat Radio, Wayne Jones began negotiations with executives with Sportswire.  An internet podcast/magazine dedicated to cover a variety of sports including WWE Events, NEFL (New England Football League) and other various topics.

The formation and launch of Black Lion Entertainment and Sports Network officially began on April 1, 2016; beginning with the launch of the new Sportswire podcast, which will eventually be anchoring the entire network with daily podcasts.  Also having shows on the network is Dean Wild of Stay Blessed Productions showcasing Hip Hop and R&B music from the underground from the United States and Canada.  Black Lion Entertainment Music Group artists will be considered for half time shows for the Connecticut Panthers of the New England Football Leage.

Also having his own show on the network is DJ D West.  Popular mid day DJ from Knox Rocks Radio in Tennessee dubbed the "MIDDAY MOUTH OF THE UNDERGROUND"

"I am also working on Sunday programming on the Black Lion Entertainment and Sports Network geared specifically for spiritual purposes.  Looking to have various ministers broadcast teachings on the network as well as various gospel music shows and podcasts."

"The network is one of a kind and it will cover just about every area you can think of.  Along with my partner, Vinnie Vitti, we are not missing a beat on this new network.  This is a great opportunity for the both of us and besides,......I couldn't think of a better way to increase the brand of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group."

At least the modesty hasn't changed with the success for the CEO.

2015 In Review - A Stellar Year for Black Lion Entertainment Music Group

I have to say,....not even I could've imagined the year to go the way it did.  Honestly speaking,.....I didn't even know if I would make it through the year considering how 2014 was for me.  Being diagnosed with cancer,.....being paralyzed,.......personal changes,.....it was a toll.  But due to the grace of God, loving friends and family, and a great staff, I am preparing this message to you.

WE ARE COMING DA MIXTAPE

This is where it began for me.  I was so bent on having this released on time.  After I came home from the hospital, I immediately made this a priority and made my deadline and on Christmas Eve 2014, was able to release the 2nd mixtape from this small entity of Wayne Management Company.  It was this mixtape that separated this small entity from the small business that created it as a division.

It began slow because mainly of the lack of promotion.  My fault considering I felt I could do everything by myself, which I learned, I couldn't.  That is why at the beginning of the year, I did a full restructuring.  First, with the help of a graphic designer in the United Kingdom, changed the logo for the company.

BUSINESS RECONSTRUCTION

Next began the tedious restructuring plan.  For her relentless drive to keep both companies together while I was getting my strength back, I awarded Synthia "Blak Cheri" Robinson by giving her the positions of authority.  In September of 2014, I promoted her to the position of Vice President of Operations for Wayne Management Company and Vice President of New Talent for BLEMG.  Effective January 2015, she was again promoted to President of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group as well as Chief Operating Officer of Wayne Management Company.

The new Creative Director position was awarded to Ms. Cassandra Jones, CEO/Founder of Simply Ladies with Class Creations, a special event planning and catering company based in Queens.

In 2015, Wayne gave her another assignment.  To expand the company's ability to attract only the best talent, he added her to the forever growing A&R Department.  She handles all new talent submissions for the entire borough of Queens.

I also promoted longtime artists, Gilbert "Farrogoummo Madeoff" Barnett, Jr, III and Pearl "Blak Pearl" Middleton-Stephens to A&R's.  I added Ms. Alicia Buie, who is in charge of A&R's for the entire NYC area.

ALLIANCES

I was able to make new connections and broaden our listenership by beginning relationships with Knox Rocks Radio (formerly 2 Loco Radio) and Fat Cat Radio in Canada, of which we are proud that we became a sponsor of, to go along with the sponsorship/partnership with Poze Productions/Poze Records and Rich Radio BKNY..

All the Winners are signed with Black Lion Entertainment Music Group

Wayne Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group, is making a statement and putting everyone on notice that they are serious and are here to stay.

In 2013, just before the launch of the label, Farrogoummo was the first Wayne Management Company client to win a music award when he and his HBOYZ team member Million Dolla Ram won an X-Poz-Ing Music Award for their song WE WORKING.

2015 has been a remarkable and over-achieving year for the small independent label from the heart of Brooklyn.  Although the offices of Wayne Management Company and Black Lion Entertainment Music Group had to relocate to the Bedford Stuyvesant area temporarily, it has not slowed down the domination from the label.  A total of 6 music awards have come from the label in the 22 month of its existence.

Wayne executive produced the label's 2nd mixtape WE ARE COMING and released it on Christmas Eve of 2014.  2 months after being released from the hospital batting prostate cancer and paralysis.  The mixtape grabbed everyone's attention and praise and now, has the awards to prove it.  WE ARE COMING was voted the Best Hip Hop Album by Poze Productions' X-Poz-Ing Music Awards and then they started to pour in.

Super group RAREBREED was the first individual artist to win an award from the mixtape.  Their smash hit WE ON IT took the underground by storm and was voted the Best Hip Hop song for the X-Poz-Ing Music Awards  One month later, They also turned around and won the Akademia Music Award for Best Hip Hop Song.  Currently, the song is on heavy rotation on 10 radio stations worldwide, and now is negotiating with 5 more to have the song on rotation.

Also winning awards this year was the President of Black Lion Entertainment Music Group, Ms. Synthia "Blak Cheri" Robinson for her original song, MY LOVE IS RAW, which was also off of the WE ARE COMING Mixtape.  She then turned around and won an Akademia Music Award for her rendition of Evelyn Champagne King's SHAME for Best Cover Song.

A month after signing on with Black Lion Entertainment Music Group, new R&B/Latin/Pop artist GIOVANNI let it be known that his skills are not to be played with when in October 2015, he won the Akademia Music Award for Best EP.

In a recent statement, Wayne Jones stated, "This is just the beginning.  With the consulting agreement with KT Borderline as well as the development of Sweet Tee Ali; we got many more plans with a lot of new artists.  We have just scratched the surface and I'm no longer going to be modest about the talent that this label represents."  That most definitely sounds like a ROAR in the jungle to me.
